NVIDIA has extended its certified systems program to include enterprise storage, enhancing AI factory deployments with improved performance and scalability, according to NVIDIA’s announcement at the GTC conference.

NVIDIA has announced a significant expansion of its NVIDIA-Certified Systems program to incorporate enterprise storage certification. This move is expected to streamline AI factory deployments within enterprises by integrating accelerated computing, networking, software, and storage, according to NVIDIA.

Streamlining AI Factory Deployments

The introduction of the NVIDIA-Certified Storage program was announced at the NVIDIA GTC global AI conference. This initiative ensures that enterprise storage systems meet the rigorous performance and scalability requirements essential for AI and high-performance computing workloads. The program has already garnered support from leading data platform and storage providers such as DDN, Dell Technologies, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Hitachi Vantara, IBM, NetApp, Nutanix, Pure Storage, VAST Data, and WEKA.

Building Blocks for New Enterprise Infrastructure

At the GTC, NVIDIA also unveiled the NVIDIA AI Data Platform, a customizable design aimed at creating a new class of enterprise infrastructure tailored for demanding AI workloads. The NVIDIA-Certified Storage designation serves as a prerequisite for partners developing AI infrastructure solutions, allowing them to leverage enterprise data effectively to handle complex queries.

The NVIDIA-Certified program, launched over four years ago, was the first of its kind to focus on optimizing AI systems for performance, manageability, and scalability. To date, over 50 partners offer more than 500 NVIDIA-Certified systems, providing enterprises with a range of performance-optimized systems for their computing needs.

Enterprise AI’s Need for Scalable Storage

As AI innovation accelerates, the demand for secure and reliable access to high-quality data has become paramount. AI workloads, projected to handle up to 317 zettabytes of data annually by 2028, require robust storage architectures capable of managing massive and varied datasets. NVIDIA’s expanded storage certification program is designed to meet these demands, ensuring high-performance and reliable data storage solutions for enterprise AI factories.

Certified Storage for Every Deployment

This certification extends existing NVIDIA DGX systems and NVIDIA Cloud Partner (NCP) storage programs, broadening the ecosystem for AI infrastructure. It aligns with various deployment models, including DGX BasePOD and DGX SuperPOD Storage Certification for enterprise AI factory deployments and NCP Storage Certification for large-scale AI factory deployments with cloud providers. The NVIDIA-Certified Storage Certification is tailored for enterprise AI factory deployments with NVIDIA-Certified servers.

Through this framework, organizations ranging from cloud hyperscalers to enterprises can build efficient AI factories capable of processing vast data, accelerating model training, and achieving more accurate AI outcomes.
